For the Filling
  • 2 large Eggs Can use scrambled eggs for a different texture.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese (Cheddar, Mozzarella, etc.) Dairy-free cheese can be used as an alternative.
For Extra Flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Butter Optional, use plant-based butter for dairy-free.

  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley or Chives Optional herb garnish.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Take two thick slices of bread and lightly butter one side of each slice. Press a well into the center of each slice.
  3. Crack one egg into the well of each buttered bread slice, being careful not to break the yolk.
  4. Sprinkle your choice of shredded cheese around the egg on the bread.
  5. Place the slices in the air fryer basket and cook for 6-8 minutes until the egg whites are set and the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from the air fryer, season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with fresh herbs if desired. Serve hot.
