  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon do not skip this!
  • 0.25 tsp Nutmeg
  • 0.25 tsp Allspice
  • 0.25 tsp Cloves
  • 0.5 cup Butter melted
  • 0.75 cup Brown Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Applesauce sweetened or unsweetened
  • 0.75 cup Apple Cider your favorite brand
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 large Eggs
Frosting
  • 0.5 cup Butter softened
  • 2 tbsp Water/Milk/Apple Cider for frosting
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon for frosting
  • 0.25 tsp Nutmeg for frosting

Method
 

Cupcake Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare cupcake pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: oat flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves.
  3. Cream melted butter and brown sugar until smooth; add applesauce, apple cider, and vanilla.
  4. Incorporate eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Fold dry mixture into wet mixture until smooth; do not overmix.
  6. Fill cupcake liners about 3/4 full with batter.
  7. Bake for 18-22 minutes until springy or toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Beat butter, apple cider, and vanilla for frosting; add powdered sugar until smooth.
  10. Frost cooled cupcakes generously with spiced buttercream.
