Baking Steps

  4. Set aside 1½ cups of the dough, then press the remaining dough into the baking dish.
  5. Bake the crust for about 10 minutes until set but not browned.
  6. Whisk together sweetened condensed milk and light corn syrup until smooth.
  7. Pour the filling over the crust, add toffee bits, and crumble reserved dough on top.
  8. Bake again for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and set.
  9. Let the bars cool completely for about 2 hours before slicing.
