Cooking Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and reserve half a cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once shimmering, add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3 minutes until translucent.
- Reduce heat to low, add cream cheese and ranch seasoning mix. Stir until cream cheese is melted and mixed, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually pour in chicken broth and heavy cream while stirring. Simmer gently for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in shredded cooked chicken, half of the bacon, and grated cheddar cheese until well combined and cheese melts, around 3-4 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing until well coated with the sauce. Add reserved pasta water if the mixture is too thick.
- Plate the creamy Crack Chicken Penne, garnish with remaining bacon and parsley. Serve hot.
