  • 1 cup Fried Shallots For topping
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated, for topping

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prep Green Beans: Rinse and trim the green beans, then blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Transfer to ice water to cool.
  2. Make Fried Shallots: Slice shallots and fry in olive oil over medium heat until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Prepare Mushroom Sauce: Sauté minced garlic in butter, then stir in flour to make a roux. Gradually add vegetable broth until thick and creamy.
  4. Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, mix blanched green beans, mushroom sauce, and half of the fried shallots. Coat evenly.
  5. Top and Bake: Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, top with remaining fried shallots and parmesan cheese, and bake at 375°F for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 7-10 minutes until golden brown.
