Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Air Fryer Chinese Chicken Wings
- In a large bowl or ziplock bag, combine the chicken wings with peanut oil, Shaoxing wine, light soy sauce, ground ginger, sugar, salt, garlic powder, and white pepper. Mix thoroughly to ensure every wing is well-coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (176°C) as you prepare the chicken wings.
- Once marinated, drain the excess marinade and pat the wings dry. In a bowl, mix cornstarch and all-purpose flour. Coat each wing evenly in the flour mixture.
- Place the coated wings skin side down in the air fryer basket and mist with oil spray. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Remove the wings from the air fryer once golden brown and crispy. Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.
