  • 1/2 cup Salsa Choose according to spice preference.
  • 1 tbsp Taco Seasoning Homemade blend can be used.
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Lime Juice Squeeze fresh for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Cilantro Optional; can substitute with parsley.
Wrap

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray or olive oil.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, salsa, taco seasoning, lime juice, and chopped cilantro. Stir until smooth.
  4. Warm the small flour tortillas in a microwave for about 30 seconds until warm and pliable.
  5. Place about 2 tablespoons of the chicken filling on each tortilla, roll tightly, and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  6. Lightly brush or spray the tops of the taquitos with olive oil.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes, flip, and continue to bake for another 10-15 minutes until golden and crispy.
  8. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving with toppings.

Notes

These taquitos can be frozen after assembly for later use. Bake from frozen by adding 10-15 minutes to the cooking time.
