  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese can use vegan cheese for a dairy-free version

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, cook for 5-7 minutes until browned, and drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until onions are translucent.
  4. Transfer the beef mixture to the baking dish, layer thinly sliced potatoes on top, season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the potatoes, pour broth or water around the edges, and drizzle with milk if desired.
  6. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is golden and potatoes are soft.
  8. Let cool slightly, garnish with parsley, slice, and serve hot.
