  • 2 cups Turkey Leftover turkey from the holiday feast.
  • 1 cup Mashed Potatoes Homemade or store-bought.
  • 1 cup Diced Celery Substitute with chopped bell peppers if desired.
  • 1 cup Diced Yellow Onion Shallots can be used for a sweeter taste.
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic Garlic powder can be used in a pinch.
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese (shredded) Feel free to experiment with other cheeses.
  • 1 cup Gravy Use your favorite version.
  • 1 cup Bread Stuffing Leftover stuffing or seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Pepper Adjust to taste.
For Baking
  • 1/2 cup Extra Gravy Drizzled on top for moisture.
  • 1 cup Additional Cheese Your favorite cheese for topping.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 1.5-quart baking dish.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the jumbo pasta shells, and cook for 8-9 minutes until al dente. Drain and rinse under cool water.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine turkey, mashed potatoes, diced onion, diced celery, and minced garlic. Stir in half of the cheddar cheese, then season with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread 3/4 cup of gravy on the bottom of the baking dish. Fill each shell with the turkey mixture and place tightly side by side in the dish.
  5. Drizzle with remaining gravy, top with cheese and any leftover stuffing, and bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Allow to cool for a few minutes, then serve warm. Optionally garnish with parsley or green onions.
