Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked Rice white or brown rice
  • 1 pound Ground Meat beef, chicken, turkey, or plant-based protein
For the Seasoning
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning or homemade
  • 0.25 cups Water to hydrate seasoning
For the Toppings
  • 1 cups Shredded Lettuce romaine or iceberg
  • 1 cup Diced Tomatoes or pico de gallo
  • 1 cups Shredded Cheese cheddar or preferred
  • 0.5 cups Sour Cream or Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 cups Sliced Jalapeños to taste
  • 0.25 cups Fresh Cilantro or green onions
  • 1 each Avocado sliced

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Cook the Rice according to package instructions. Stir in 1 teaspoon of taco seasoning for flavor once ready.
  2. Prepare the Meat by heating a large skillet. Sauté your choice of ground meat for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Add Seasoning by mixing in taco seasoning and ¼ cup of water, simmer for 5 minutes until thick.
  4. Prepare Toppings by chopping tomatoes, shredding lettuce, and slicing jalapeños and avocado.
  5. Assemble the Bowl with a base of cooked rice, seasoned meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and sprinkle cheese on top.
  6. Add Final Touches with sour cream, jalapeños, cilantro, and avocado slices for garnish.
  7. Serve Immediately, offering hot sauce or salsa on the side.
