Dough Preparation
- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm milk. Allow it to sit until frothy.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt; pour in the yeast mixture along with softened butter and egg. Mix until shaggy.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in greased bowl, cover, and let rise in warm place for about 1 hour until doubled.
Filling and Assembly
- Prepare the garlic filling by mixing butter, minced garlic, parsley, and Italian seasoning in a bowl.
- Combine the cheeses in another bowl until evenly mixed.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread garlic mixture, then sprinkle cheese blend. Roll into a log and slice into 12 pieces.
- Place rolls in greased baking dish with space between each, cover, and let rise for 30-45 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- If desired, brush warm rolls with melted garlic butter and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
