Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Trim the ends of the fresh green beans and rinse them under cold water. Set aside to dry.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and unsalted butter; melt until sizzling.
  3. Add minced garlic, stirring for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
  4. Introduce sliced mushrooms, cooking gently for 4-5 minutes until soft and golden brown.
  5. Add green beans, seasoning with salt and pepper, stir to coat in garlic butter for about 2 minutes.
  6. Cover skillet and steam green beans for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.
  7. Remove lid, add an additional tablespoon of butter, stir until melted and incorporated.
  8. Drizzle in lemon juice and mix well to brighten flavors.
  9. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  10. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with parsley if desired.
