Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather your roasting equipment.
  2. Remove the turkey from its packaging and pat it dry with paper towels.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine butter, garlic, rosemary, thyme, sage, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Separate the turkey skin from the breast and spread half of the herb butter mixture underneath.
  5. Season the cavity of the turkey with salt and pepper.
  6. Truss the turkey with kitchen twine, tying the legs together.
  7. Place the turkey in the pan and pour chicken broth into the pan.
  8. Roast the turkey for about 13 minutes per pound, or until it reaches 165°F (75°C).
  9. Baste the turkey every 30 minutes to keep it moist.
  10. Cover the breast with foil if it browns too quickly.
  11. Allow the turkey to rest for about 30 minutes after removing from the oven.
  12. Carve the turkey into slices and garnish with fresh herbs for presentation.
