Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, then drain excess fat.
  2. Sauté diced onion, bell peppers, and minced garlic in the same skillet for about 3–4 minutes.
  3. Combine beef and sautéed vegetables in the slow cooker and add broth, marinara sauce, tomatoes, and rice.
  4. Add marjoram, chili powder, basil, red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours.
  6. Serve warm and optionally top with grated cheese.
