Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather your ingredients while the oven heats up.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked and shredded chicken, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, dried basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Blend until evenly coated.
  3. Spread half of the chicken mixture evenly across the bottom of a 9x13 inch casserole dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  4. Spread the remaining chicken mixture over the first layer. Add the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  5. Sprinkle whole wheat breadcrumbs evenly across the top of the casserole.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbling and golden brown on top.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for about 5-10 minutes before serving.
