Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish.
  2. Combine pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, milk, egg, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves in a mixing bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to pumpkin mixture, stirring gently.
  4. Melt the butter and pour into the pumpkin mixture along with the chopped pecans. Stir gently until combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and slowly pour boiling water over the top without stirring.
