  • 12 rolls Hawaiian Rolls or rye bread slider buns
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island Dressing or Russian dressing
  • 8 oz Pastrami or Roast Beef thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Sauerkraut well-drained
  • 8 slices Swiss Cheese or provolone or Gruyère
For the Topping
  • 1/4 cup Butter melted; olive oil for dairy-free
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce optional
  • 1 tbsp Dried Minced Onion or fresh finely diced onion
  • 1 clove Garlic Clove minced; or powdered garlic
  • 1 tbsp Poppy Seeds optional
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley optional
  • 1 cup Pickle Slices optional, or relish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Drain the sauerkraut and ensure it's well-drained to avoid sogginess.
  3. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and spread Thousand Island dressing on both cut sides.
  4. Layer pastrami or roast beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on the bottom half of the rolls.
  5. Place the top halves back on and brush with the topping mixture.
  6. Bake covered with aluminum foil for approximately 30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into portions and serve warm.
