Ingredients

Dough
  • 1 batch Brioche Dough Consider using pre-made dough for a time-saver.
Filling
  • 1 can Apple Pie Filling Homemade or store-bought for convenience.
  • 1/2 cup Toasted Pecans Can be omitted for a nut-free option.
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar Swap for white sugar if you prefer a lighter sweetness.
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon Adjust according to your desired spice level.
Frosting
  • 1 batch Cream Cheese Frosting Can substitute with a powdered sugar glaze for a sweeter taste.

Equipment

  • Large Bowl
  • medium saucepan
  • Baking Pan
  • kitchen towel
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Rolling Pin

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by mixing your brioche dough ingredients in a large bowl until well combined. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm area until doubled in size, about 1 to 2 hours.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine your apple pie filling with a sprinkle of brown sugar and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until the apples soften and the filling is fragrant.
  3. Once your dough has risen, roll it into a large rectangle, spread the cooled apple filling evenly, and sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and toasted pecans.
  4. Slice the rolled dough into 12 thick pieces and place them in a greased baking pan. Let the rolls rise in a warm area for about 30-40 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove the rolls from the oven, cool for 10 minutes, and drizzle or spread cream cheese frosting on top.
