  • 4 ounces Feta Cheese crumbled
  • 1 large Egg beaten
  • 1 medium Chopped Onion or shallots
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic fresh preferred
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano dried herbs work well
  • to taste Salt and Pepper
For the Creamy Tomato Sauce
  • ½ cup Heavy Cream or half and half
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste or less tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika regular paprika is a substitute
  • 2 ounces Additional Feta optional

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, crumbled feta cheese, beaten egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until incorporated.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into four portions and shape each into thick patties, about 1 inch thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
  4. Sauté minced garlic in the skillet for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 minute. Whisk in heavy cream, add crumbled feta and smoked paprika. Cook until thickened.
  6. Return the patties to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and heat together for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Plate the burgers, drizzle with additional sauce, and garnish with chopped parsley and crumbled feta.
