Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Drain the Corn: Open the two cans of corn kernels and thoroughly drain the excess liquid.
  2. Prepare Ingredients: Grate 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and thinly slice 1 green onion.
  3. Heat Skillet: Place a skillet on the stove and warm it over medium heat for about 3 minutes.
  4. Combine Base: Add the drained corn, unsalted butter, mayonnaise, and granulated sugar to the skillet.
  5. Season: Sprinkle kosher salt and black pepper to taste into the skillet.
  6. Cook Mixture: Stir the corn mixture for an additional 2–3 minutes until it begins to bubble lightly.
  7. Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the bubbling corn mixture.
  8. Broil: Transfer the skillet to the oven and place it under a low broiler for about 3–5 minutes.
