Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare your muffin tin with liners or grease it.
  2. Mix together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, mash ripe bananas and blend in sugar.
  4. Add egg and vegetable oil to the banana mixture, and combine gently.
  5. Pour in vanilla extract and Nutella, stirring until smooth.
  6. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture without overmixing.
  7. If using, fold in chocolate chips.
  8. Fill muffin cups about two-thirds full and add a dollop of Nutella on top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes and check for doneness.
  10. Cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
