  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika Optional but recommended.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce Can be substituted with soy sauce.
  • 1 large Egg Optional.
For the Cabbage Burgers
  • 1 small head Cabbage Cut into ½ inch thick slices.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Can use avocado oil.
For Topping
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Your favorite type.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean-up.
  2. Cut a small head of cabbage into thick slices, about ½ inch each. Brush both sides with olive oil and place on the baking sheet.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef or turkey with onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and egg if using. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into patties and place one on each cabbage slice.
  5. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Remove from the oven, sprinkle cheese on top, and broil for 3-5 minutes until melted.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
