Ingredients

For the Cold Brew Base
  • 4 cups Cold Water
  • 3-4 bags Green Tea Bags or 2 tablespoons of loose leaf green tea
For the Flavoring
  • 2 Ripe Kiwis peeled and sliced
  • handful Fresh Mint Leaves or mint extract if needed
For Sweetening (Optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Honey or your preferred sweetener
For Serving
  • as needed Ice Cubes to chill the drink

Equipment

  • Large pitcher
  • Fine mesh sieve

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large pitcher, pour in 4 cups of cold water. Add 3-4 green tea bags or 2 tablespoons of loose leaf green tea, followed by a handful of fresh mint leaves. Give it a gentle stir to begin releasing the mint's aromatic oils.
  2. Prepare 2 ripe kiwis by peeling and slicing them into rounds. Gently add the kiwi slices to the pitcher. For a more intense kiwi flavor, use a muddler or the back of a spoon to crush a few slices before adding.
  3. If you like a touch of sweetness, consider adding honey or your preferred sweetener at this stage. Start with a tablespoon and adjust based on your preference. Stir well to combine.
  4. Cover the pitcher with a lid or plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator. Allow the mixture to infuse for 6-8 hours, or ideally overnight.
  5. After the infusion period, remove the pitcher from the fridge and strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve.
  6. Fill tall glasses with ice cubes. Pour the strained tea over the ice, and garnish with additional mint leaves or a slice of kiwi.
