Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C), and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, ½ cup of cocoa powder, and ½ teaspoon of kosher salt.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine ½ cup of semisweet chocolate chips, ½ cup of white chocolate chips, and ½ cup of unsalted butter. Heat until melted.
  4. In your stand mixer, beat 2 large eggs with 1 cup of granulated sugar, ½ cup of brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until thickened.
  5. Pour the cooled chocolate mixture into the egg blend, mixing until combined. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  6. Alternately add the flour mixture and ½ cup of root beer to the chocolate mixture, mixing gently.
