Ingredients
  

For the Marinade
  • 3 tablespoons Honey Maple syrup for vegan alternative.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced; garlic powder can be used.
  • 1/4 cup Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce Tamari or coconut aminos for gluten-free.
  • 2 tablespoons Seasoned Rice Vinegar Apple cider vinegar as substitute.
  • 2 teaspoons Sesame Oil Olive oil can be used but alters flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Freshly Grated Ginger Ground ginger can be substituted.
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha Optional; adjust for heat preference.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper White pepper can be used.
For the Salmon
  • 4 fillets Salmon Wild-caught recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions Sliced; chives can be used.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Sunflower seeds can be used as substitute.

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, reduced sodium soy sauce, seasoned rice vinegar, sesame oil, freshly grated ginger, Sriracha, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  4. Carefully lay the salmon fillet, skin-side down, on the foil-lined baking sheet.
  5. Pour the prepared marinade evenly over the salmon fillet.
  6. Fold the edges of the foil over the salmon to create a sealed packet.
  7. Slide the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes.
  8. For an extra touch of caramelization, carefully open the foil packet and switch the oven to broil for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
