- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together ½ cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, and ¼ teaspoon of fresh ground black pepper until smooth. Set aside.
- Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets, rinsing under cold water and draining any excess. Blanch for 1-2 minutes for a tender texture if preferred.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F, arrange bacon on a baking sheet, and bake for 15-17 minutes. Allow to cool before chopping.
- Combine broccoli, bacon, red onion, dried cranberries, and sliced almonds in a large bowl and mix gently.
- Drizzle the dressing over the mixture, toss gently to coat, and chill for 1-2 hours before serving.
- Before serving, give the salad a gentle toss again to mix everything well.
