- In a medium saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until bubbling (3-5 minutes).
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract and baking soda, and mix until foaming subsides.
- Pour caramel over oyster crackers in a large mixing bowl and mix gently to coat evenly.
- Spread coated crackers on the baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
