Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC) and lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage for about 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, frozen tater tots, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Pour over the tater tot and sausage blend.
  5. If not baking immediately, cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
  6. Bake the casserole uncovered for about 60-70 minutes, until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Allow the casserole to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
