- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the red bell peppers into strips and toss them in olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for approximately 20 minutes until tender and charred.
- Once the roasted peppers are cooled slightly, transfer them to a blender and add garlic and lemon juice. Blend until smooth. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season tilapia fillets with salt and pepper, then cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and flaky.
- Pour the roasted pepper sauce over the tilapia in the skillet and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes before serving.
