Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, lay 6 slices of thick-cut bacon in a single layer. Cook the bacon for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until it’s nearly crispy and the fat has rendered.
- Brush each slice of bacon generously with your favorite BBQ sauce, turning the heat to medium-low. Continue cooking for an additional 1–2 minutes.
- Prepare your sandwich buns by toasting them cut-side down in the same skillet or under a broiler for about 2–3 minutes until golden and crisp.
- If adding cheese, place slices of cheddar on the bottom half of each toasted bun and broil for 1–2 minutes until melted.
- Begin layering your sandwich: add 3 strips of BBQ-glazed bacon, followed by 2 thick slices of fresh tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and drizzle ranch dressing.
- Cap off your creation with the top half of the toasted bun, press gently, and serve immediately.
