  • 1 batch Pizza Dough Store-bought or homemade
For the Filling
  • 2 cups Caramelized Onions Cook slowly for best flavor
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach Squeeze out excess moisture if using frozen
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 3 tablespoons Nutritional Yeast Optional for cheesy flavor
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce Use a thick sauce to prevent sogginess

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Prepare the pizza dough according to instructions and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  2. In a large skillet over low heat, add olive oil and sliced onions; caramelize for 20-30 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute, then fold in spinach and cook until wilted.
  4. Roll out dough on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thick and cut into rectangles.
  5. Spread marinara sauce on each rectangle, add filling, then roll tightly and place seam-side down in a baking dish.
  6. Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly, then serve warm with extra marinara sauce on the side.
