For the Chicken
  • 4 pieces Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts Can substitute with shrimp, tofu, or grilled chicken.
  • 1 cup Buttermilk Regular milk can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper Adjust according to spice preference.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil For frying.
For the Bang Bang Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha Adjust for desired spiciness.
  • 1 tbsp Lime Juice
For the Assembly
  • 4 pieces Sandwich Buns Brioche recommended.
  • 4 leaves Lettuce
  • 1 medium Tomato Sliced.
  • 1 medium Cucumber Sliced.
  • 4 slices Pickles

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
  2. Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lime juice, and salt in a bowl to prepare the Bang Bang sauce.
  3. Combine flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
  4. Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry the coated chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Assemble the sandwich by spreading Bang Bang sauce on both sides of the bun and adding the fried chicken and toppings.
